This won a special prize at the Entertaining Souvenirs Selection (Settai no Temiyage) Awards 2016. The dried baby sardines with Chinese peppers have a characteristic light flavor that comes from the vivid emerald green Chinese peppers, and the small white fish, just through cooking.

It is cooked via old-fashioned techniques that make use of the characteristics of the ingredients. Kinpira Tuna has burdock and tuna which have been generously soaked in a broth so that when you eat it, the broth’s exquisite texture gradually oozes out.

The Matsutake mushrooms and konbu (kelp) product consists of cut Matsutake mushrooms and konbu which have been softly and thoroughly mixed. It is a dish that you can enjoy along with its amazing aroma. It is a package suitable for any occasion. We recommend this product as both a gift and a souvenir.

When we entertain someone and give them a gift, I thought this particular product is something that they would return home with and be really happy about. It is really good for people who don’t particularly like sweet food. I think it is fantastic as a present for foreigners to try, as it keeps for a long time. The baby sardines don’t have a strong aftertaste, but it has a flavor that anyone would be delighted with. I think that the point that it is from "a famous store in Kyoto" makes it very easy to give to someone as a souvenir.
